INKBLEED LAB

Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 November 2026

INKBLEED LAB is a free browser tool for making ink-bleed text effects. It runs on your device. Nothing you type, upload or export is sent to us, and there is no analytics or advertising anywhere on this site.

Who runs this

INKBLEED LAB is run by Mohammed Mohamdy Eisa, an individual based in Alexandria, Egypt. For anything on this page, write to contact@inkbleed.online.

What we collect

Nothing. Loading a page here makes one kind of outside request: the page itself, from Cloudflare. Every script, font and image on it is served from inkbleed.online.

There is no account to create, so we never learn who you are. No analytics script runs, no advertising network loads, and no cookie is set for tracking. There is no visitor profile to sell or share.

What happens inside the lab

Your text and settings

The text you type, the controls you move and the presets you save stay in your browser. To keep your work after a reload, the lab stores them in your browser’s local storage under keys that begin with inkbleed. That data lives on your device and never leaves it. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it permanently.

Fonts you upload

A font file you drop in is read locally by your browser and used only to draw your own artwork on your own screen. The file is never uploaded and never stored by us. It is not kept between sessions either: reload the page and you load it again.

Exports

PNG, SVG, clipboard and video exports are generated in your browser from a canvas. The resulting file goes straight to your downloads folder. We never see the artwork.

The one request that leaves your browser

The optional video exporter uses ffmpeg.wasm, which your browser downloads from the public unpkg CDN at unpkg.com. That request tells unpkg your IP address, your browser and which file was asked for, the same as any script request on any site. It only happens when you click a video export. Nothing about your artwork is included in it.

Everything else the lab loads (fonts, textures, displacement maps, code) is served from lab.inkbleed.online.

Hosting and server logs

This site and the lab are served through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the request information needed to deliver a page: IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. We do not link those logs to any identity and we do not use them to profile visitors. Cloudflare’s own privacy terms cover its processing.

If you email us

If you write to contact@inkbleed.online, we receive your address and whatever you put in the message. We use it to reply and fix what you reported, keep it only as long as that takes, and never add you to a mailing list.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to its use, or to complain to a data protection authority. In practice the only personal data we ever hold is an email you chose to send us. Write to contact@inkbleed.online and we will act on the request.

Where Egyptian data protection law (Law No. 151 of 2020) applies, we handle data in line with it. For visitors in the EU and the UK, processing relies on legitimate interests, meaning serving the site and answering messages, and on consent only where consent is required.

Children

The lab is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the site.
